American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Nellis Air Force Base

American Airlines flight AA-671 made an emergency landing at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, on February 16th.

The plane heading from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, to McCarran International Airport, Nevada, was diverted as it needed refueling due to weather-related delays at the destination airport.

The plane landed safely and departed for McCarran International Airport shortly afterwards.

Delta Airlines Flight Hits Turbulence on the way to Seattle

Delta Airlines flight DL-5763 suffered severe turbulence on the way to Seattle, Washington, on February 13th.

The plane was flying from Santa Ana, California, when it hit turbulence which injured several people.

The crew subsequently decided to divert to Reno, Nevada, where the plane landed safely.

Eight people were injured, including seven passengers and a crew member.

JetBlue Flight Rejects Takeoff from Las Vegas

JetBlue flight B6-178 had to reject takeoff from Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 7th.

The Airbus A321-200 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Boston, Massachusetts, when the crew rejected takeoff due to an engine fire.

Emergency services quickly suppressed the smoke coming out of the engine.

The plane safely returned to the gate.

U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Pilot Killed in F-16 Crash

A U.S. Air Force F-16 plane crashed in Nevada, on April 4th.

The plane was performing a routine aerial demonstration training flight when it crashed over Nevada Test and Training Range.

Thunderbirds pilot Major Stephen Del Bagno died in the crash.

The cause of crash is being investigated.
