    Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Ocean Off Cocoa Beach Pier

    A Challenger II amateur-built experimental seaplane made an emergency landing in ocean water, around 2 miles south of Cocoa Beach Pier, Florida, at about 12:50 p.m. on November 13.

    The Brevard County sheriff’s office confirmed that the pilot decided to make an emergency landing after the seaplane developed some engine problems.

    The pilot remained uninjured. His identity has not yet been disclosed.

    The red-colored plane is registered to a Virginia Beach resident Charles Guiter.

    The FAA is investigating.

    What: Ryanair Boeing 737-800, registration EI-DLJ performing flight FR-9052 from Alicante Spain to Brussels Belgium
    Where: Brussels
    When: Jan 18th 2011
    Why: On approach to landing in Charleroi, the plane developed engine vibrations.

    The flight made a safe landing. No report has been released regarding the cause of the engine vibration.

    Oman Air Flight Diverts to Istanbul due to Cracked Windshield

    Oman Air flight WY-105 made an emergency landing in Istanbul, Turkey, on January 10th.

    The Boeing 787-8 plane heading from Muscat, Oman, to Manchester, England, was diverted due to a cracked windshield.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and twenty-four passengers aboard remained safe.

    Austrian Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Zurich

    Austrian Airlines flight LX-1175 made an emergency landing in Zurich, Switzerland, on April 25th.

    The plane flying from Stuttgart, Germany, was descending toward Zurich when the crew noticed an issue with one of the engines and decided to shut it down.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All sixty passengers aboard remained unharmed.

    Air France Flight Returns to Lisbon After Hydraulic Failure

    Air France flight AF-1025 made an emergency landing in Lisbon, Portugal, on June 1st.

    The Airbus A319-100 plane took off for Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, but had to turn back after the crew reported a hydraulic failure.

    The plane landed safely. There were 131 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.
