    Vueling Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Tenerife–South Airport

    Vueling Airlines flight VY-6598 made an emergency landing at Tenerife–South Airport in Canary Islands, Spain, on November 10th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Zurich, Switzerland, but had to turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Alaska Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in San Jose

    Alaska Airlines flight AS-322 had to make an emergency landing in San Jose, California, on January 12th.

    The pilots declared an emergency after the crew noticed a white powder leaking from the cabin air conditioning vents and three of them reported feeling unwell. The Boeing 737-900 plane was flying from Seattle, Washington, at the time.

    The plane landed safely. One crew member was taken to hospital while two others received treatment at the airport. All 181 passengers remained unharmed.

    It is believed that the white substance was a de-icing agent.

    SpiceJet Flight Makes Emergency Landing in India

    SpiceJetA SpiceJet flight had to return and make an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, in Hyderabad, India, on April 24th.

    The plane took off for Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India, but had to return shortly afterwards after the pilot reported a technical snag.

    The plane landed safely. No injuries were reported.

    PSA Airlines Jet Diverts to Dayton due to Hydraulic Failure

    American AirlinesPSA Airlines flight AA-5394 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Dayton, Ohio, on January 15.

    The Canadair CRJ-700 aircraft was en-route from Des Moines, Iowa, to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Virginia, when the crew decided to divert due to hydraulic failure.

    The plane, being operated on behalf of American Airlines, landed uneventfully. There were 69 passengers aboard at the time; all of the remained unharmed.

    The airline arranged a replacement aircraft for the passengers.
