    When: 1850 (2150 GMT) on Tuesday
    Who: 186 passengers and crew plus assorted on ground
    Why: wet runway conditions; unfit unfinished runway; reverser (and other) issues on plane. These and other reasons are in contention.

    Beechcraft Baron Crashes in Brazil killing 4

    What: Norte Táxi Aéreo Beechcraft 95-B55 Baron en route from Cametá to Baião
    Where: Cametá, PA Brazil
    When: Feb 16 2012, 10:00 am
    Who: 4 aboard, 4 fatalities
    Why: The Taxi service plane crashed not long after takeoff, killing the pilot, copilot and two security guards who worked transporting money for a bank. A fire ensued after the crash, and rescuers found the bodies were charred.

    The crash occurred a kilometer from the runway. The airport fire department team responded. Seripa (regional research and prevention of Aviation Accidents) is investigating.

    Zagros Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Tehran

    Zagros Airlines flight ZO-4013 had to return and make an emergency landing in Tehran, Iran, on October 19th.

    The McDonnell Douglas MD-83 plane took off for Ahvaz, Iran, but burst a left main tire during departure.

    The crew subsequently returned and landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Spicejet Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Kolkata after Tire Burst

    SpiceJetSpicejet flight SG 517 had to make an emergency landing in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, on March 1st.

    The Boeing 737-900 plane took off from Bangalore and was en-route to Kolkata when the runway inspection crew found tire debris and informed the pilots about tire burst. The pilots in turn requested emergency assistance on arrival in Kolkata.

    The plane landed safely. There were 211 passengers and 7 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

    LATAM Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Cargo Smoke Indication

    LATAM Airlines flight JJ-8030 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Porto Alegre, Brazil, on December 27th.

    The Airbus A321-200 plane heading from Sao Paulo, Brazil, to Montevideo, Uruguay, was diverted due to a cargo smoke indication.

    The plane landed safely. All 220 people aboard remained unharmed.

    What: Brazilian F-5M fighter
    Where: military base in southern Brazil
    When: September 6, 2010 8:45 a.m.
    Why: During routine operations, a metal panel from the F-5M fell from the fighter on to a street in downtown Cachoeirinha. It struck the pavement at a high rate of speed, bounced and sent shards of metal flying. No one was injured.
