Croatia Airlines flight OU-470 had to reject takeoff from Zagreb, Croatia, on February 2nd.
The Airbus A319-100 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Charles de Gaulle Airport, France, when the crew received indication of an engine issue and rejected takeoff.
The plane slowed down safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Latam Airlines flight JJ-3527 had to return and make an emergency landing in Porto Velho, Brazil, on June 5th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane, en-route to Brasilia, Brazil, had to turn back after one of the engines ingested a bird, resulting in severe engine vibrations and noises.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.
A plane crashed in Guntersville Alabama. The pilot was the only person aboard when the engine stalled, and he ditched in a lake near Lake Guntersville Marina and Guntersville Sailing Club.
The pilot extricated himself from the plane and was rescued by fisherman. Alabama Marine Police and Marshall County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene and will be securing the site until the NTSB investigation.
Austrian Airlines flight OS-509 made an emergency landing at Milan Malpensa Airport, Italy, on February 25th.
The Airbus A319-100 plane flying from Vienna, Austria, was descending toward Milan Malpensa Airport when the crew reported an unusual smell in the cabin.
The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Why: Over Syria, the engine developed a problem and the crew decided to return to Jordon. The flight landed safely in Amman. After thirty minutes with maintenance, the problem was repaired, and the flight departed again.
On January 4, 2013, a Beechcraft BE35 developed a vibration problem, reported an emergency. The pilot was diverting to Flagler County Airport when the plane crashed into a house a mile from the airport.
Three people aboard the flight died. Three people were inside the Palm Coast Florida house, but they were not trapped inside the building.

Why: Pilot David J. Jensen and a student were in the single-engine Cessna when it developed engine problems. The pilots made a safe landing on a Heckscher State Park runway normally dedicated to model planes.
The plane was not allowed to take off from that runway, and was dismantled for removal.
The incident is under investigation.
