The Canadair CRJ-900 plane took off for Luxembourg but had to turn back after a strange smell was noticed in the cockpit.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Compass Airlines flight DL-5749 had to return and make a safe emergency landing at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, Washington, on December 10.
The Embraer ERJ-175, heading to San Diego, California, had to return due to a hissing noise coming from one of its doors.
The plane landed uneventfully.
No injuries were reported.
A helicopter made an emergency landing on a football field in Accra, Ghana, on December 2.
Authorities said the helicopter was forced to land on the football field of the Abelemkpe Two Basic School due to a technical malfunction.
The aircraft, owned by West African Helicopter, landed uneventfully and no injuries were reported.

Why: After taking off an hour late due to bad weather, the plane immediately developed a problem in its right engine. A fire warning alerted the pilot.
The pilot reported to ATC and returned to make a safe landing at Bangalore airport after ten minutes aloft. Anther plane is being scheduled for the passengers.
