    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at JFK Airport

    American Airlines flight AA-174 made an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on October 7th.

    The Boeing 777-200 plane heading from Raleigh–Durham International Airport, North Carolina, to Heathrow Airport, England, was diverted due to an electrical problem.

    The Bombardier Q400 plane was flying from Seattle, Washington, when the crew reported smoke in the cabin and declared an emergency.

    The plane landed safely. All 75 passengers and 4 crew members remained unhurt.

    The aircraft was taken out of service.

    Small Plane Crash-Lands in Hauppauge

    A Cirrus SR22 plane crash-landed in an industrial park in Hauppauge, New York, on March 5th.

    The plane was en-route to Republic Airport, Farmingdale, when it developed some engine issues. Authorities said the parachute attached to the plane deployed before it went down in a grassy area, just 8 miles east of Republic Airport.

    The plane was carrying two people at the time, including the pilot Louis Obergh and his daughter, Rachel Obergh. Both of them suffered minor injuries. They were returning after visiting University of Rhode Island.

    The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

    Air New Zealand Plane Rejects Takeoff due to Bird Strike

    Air New Zealand flight NZ-402 had to reject takeoff from Wellington, New Zealand, on November 3rd.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Auckland, New Zealand, when the crew rejected takeoff due to a bird strike.

    The plane safely returned to the apron. All one hundred and forty-eight people aboard remained uninjured.

    Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter Plane makes Safe Landing in Germany after Tyre Deflation

    Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter (LGW) flight AB-8883 made a safe landing at Düsseldorf Airport, Germany, on July 3rd.

    The de Havilland Dash 8-400 flying on behalf of Air Berlin from Florence, Italy, was mid-air when the crew got information about tyre debris found on the runway after departure.

    The plane landed safely after entering a hold.

    No one was injured.

    Inspection revealed that one of the plane tyres was deflated.

    American Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Chicago O’Hare Airport

    American Airlines flight AA-3470 made an emergency landing at O’Hare International Airport, Illinois, on April 11th.

    The plane flying from Columbus, Ohio, was on final approach to Chicago when the crew reported smell of smoke onboard.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. All sixty-four passengers and four crew members remained unharmed.
