A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter made an emergency landing in an empty parking lot near Silver Strand State Beach in Coronado, California, on August 8th.
Authorities said the crew decided to land as a precaution after a warning light in the cockpit came on.
The helicopter landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
A Canadair regional jet 200, operated by Delta Airlines, returned and made an emergency landing at Burlington International Airport at about 5:30 p.m. on July 24.
The incident happened when the flight was heading to Detroit from Burlington International Airport in Burlington, Vermont.
Heather Bowman, operations specialist at the airport said the aircraft developed some mechanical problem and the pilot felt “unknown vibrations” in the plane.
The plane landed safely and no one was hurt. It was briefly inspected after landing.
Alaska Airlines flight AS-792 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Spokane International Airport, Spokane County, Washington, on July 24th.
The Boeing 737-800 flying from Seattle, Washington, to Detroit, Michigan, had to divert due to burning odor on board.
The plane landed safely.
No injuries were reported.
Horizon Air flight QX-475 made a safe landing at Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport, Santa Rosa, California, on December 2.
The De Havilland Dash 8-400, en-route from Seattle, Washington, to Santa Rosa, was approaching the runway when it collided with a deer.
The plane landed safely.
All passengers aboard remained unhurt.
ExpressJet flight EV-5583 had to return and make an emergency landing in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on September 22nd.
The plane took off for Atlanta, Georgia, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew noticed that a nose gear door was open.
The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.
Ryanair flight FR-2150 had to return and make an emergency landing in Alicante, Spain, on April 8th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Birmingham, England, but had to return shortly afterwards due to indication of tail strike during departure.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
