    Tour Helicopter Crashes in California; 3 Injured

    A tour helicopter made a crash landing, hit 2 vans, and caught fire in the parking area of Santa Barbara Municipal Golf Club in California, in the afternoon of May 5th.

    The four-seater Robinson R-44 was returning to the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport after a tour, when it developed a mechanical problem.

    All three people aboard sustained injuries.

    The FAA is investigating.

    Sky Regional Airlines Flight Rejects Take Off From LaGuardia Airport

    Sky Regional Airlines flight AC-7637 had to reject take off from LaGuardia Airport, New York, on January 12th.

    The plane, flying on behalf of Air Canada, was accelerating to take off for Montreal, Canada, when the crew noticed an issue with the right hand engine and rejected take off.

    The plane taxied to a parking spot.

    All passengers and crew members remained unarmed.

    2 Injured as Small Plane Crashes in College Station

    A single-engine Cessna 172 plane crashed in a parking lot in College Station, Texas, on September 17.

    Authorities said the plane, travelling from Edgewood to Port Aransas, lost power before it went down around 10 miles south of Easterwood Airport.

    There were 2 people aboard, including the pilot Daniel Albert Fox and his wife Charlynn. Both of them sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to College Station Medical Center.

    The DPS and the FAA are investigating.
