    Bird-Hit Indigo Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Ahmedabad

    IndiGo AirlinesIndiGo Airlines flight 6E-244 from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, India, had to return for emergency landing on August 9 due to a bird strike.

    According to Ahmedabad airport director R K Singh, the pilot reported the incident shortly after the plane took off and was allowed to make an emergency landing at the Ahmedabad airport.

    The aircraft carrying 95 passengers and 6 crew-members aboard, landed safely. No one was hurt however, 2 rotors of the aircraft were damaged due to bird strike.

    The officials said that no inquiry would be conducted since it was a natural incident.

    Iran Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Amsterdam

    Iran Air flight IR-724 made an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on June 14th.

    The Airbus A300-600 plane took off for Tehran Imam Khomeini International Airport, Iran, but had to turn back due to technical issues.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All one hundred and eighty-seven people aboard remained unharmed.

    Sun expressA Sun Express flight had to divert to and make an emergency landing at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, Belgrade, Serbia, on October 17.

    The plane, heading from Dublin, Ireland, to Izmir, Turkey, had to be diverted due to an “unruly passenger” aboard. The drunk Irishman stripped off and started harassing a stewardess.

    The plane landed safely.

    All passengers aboard remained unhurt.

    The drunk passenger was taken off the flight in Belgrade, while others continued their journey to Izmir.

    Alaska Airlines Plane Continues for Safe Landing in Hawaii after Phone Emits Fire

    AlaskaAlaska Airlines flight AS-807 continued for a safe landing at Honolulu International Airport, Honolulu, Hawaii, on March 19.

    The Boeing 737-800, en-route from Bellingham, Washington to Hawaii, was mid-air above Pacific Ocean when a passenger’s iPhone emitted flame which turned into fire on the cabin floor.

    The plane landed safely after 90 minutes.

    All passengers aboard remained unharmed.

    The incident is under investigation.

    Copa Airlines Flight Diverts to Mexico City After Auto-Pilot Failure

    Copa Airlines flight CM-156 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Mexico City, Mexico, on October 18th.

    The plane heading from Monterrey, Mexico, to Panama City, Panama, was diverted due to the autopilot failure.

    LATAM flight LA-8084 made an emergency landing in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, on December 20th.

    The Boeing 777-300 plane heading from Sao Paulo–Guarulhos International Airport, Brazil, to Heathrow Airport, England, was diverted due to electrical problems.

    Several tires deflated as the plane touched down.

    All three hundred and forty-one passengers and sixteen crew members remained unharmed.
