    Why: The Flybe flight was en route when the pilots discovered smoke in the cockpit.

    Pilots made an emergency landing. A replacement jet was sent to the town Pori.

    The source of the smoke was a faulty printer in the cockpit.

    Sky One Airways Helicopter Diverts to India due to Technical Problem

    Skyone AirwaysSky One Airways helicopter had to divert and make an emergency landing in Nagaon, Assam, India, on September 15th.

    The helicopter carrying 8 people was bound for Ithanagar, Arunachal Pradesh, when it encountered a sudden technical problem.

    The helicopter landed safely.

    All 6 crew members and 2 passengers aboard remained unharmed.

    Air France Plane Diverts to Montreal

    Air FranceAir France flight AF054 had to make an emergency landing at Trudeau Airport in Montreal, Canada, at around 4 p.m. on January 1, 2014.

    The flight, en-route from Paris to Washington D.C., was diverted after smoke was detected in the business class cabin.

    The Boeing 777-300, carrying 152 passengers and 17 crew members, landed safely and no one aboard was harmed.

    The airline confirmed the incident saying that the emergency landing was due to a “minor technical problem”.

    The plane was later able to resume the flight.

    What: Air France Airbus A380-800 en route from New York to Paris
    Where: Long Island
    When: Nov 27th 2009
    Who: not available
    Why: After takeoff, the plane indicated an autopilot problem. They returned to the airport where the plane landed, was repaired and took off again, arriving safely in Paris about 6 hours late-

    Light Plane Lands in Emergency near Auckland

    Light planeA small plane made an emergency landing on the Muriwai Golf Course near Auckland, New Zealand, before 5:25 p.m. on August 18.

    The pilot decided to make an emergency landing after his light plane ran out of fuel. Fire Service spokesman Michael Upton explained, “We got calls from residents who heard the plane spluttering away, or its engine failing, and saw the aircraft go down on the golf course.”

    The plane landed uneventfully and no one on-board was hurt.

    American Eagle Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Clinton National Airport

    American Eagle flight 3382 made an emergency landing at Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, Arkansas, on April 25th.

    The plane took off for Dallas, Texas, but had to turn back due to indication of a possible mechanical issue.

    The plane landed safely. All seventy passengers and four crew members remained unharmed.
