The Airbus A319-100, en-route from Saint John’s, NL, Canada, to London, UK, was mid-air above Atlantic Ocean when the crew reported failure of the hydraulic system, prompting the plane to return to Saint John’s but instead diverted to Toronto due to bad weather.
The plane landed uneventfully.
All passengers onboard remained unharmed.
American Airlines flight AA-1871 had to return and make an emergency landing at McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 23rd.
The Airbus A321-200 flying to Charlotte, North Carolina, had to return when its right engine showed overtemp and the crew had to shut it down.
The plane landed safely.
All 197 people aboard remained safe.
A plane carrying NASCAR team members had to divert and make an emergency landing at Memphis International Airport, Tennessee, on March 7th.
The Hendrick Motorsports airplane, returning from Las Vegas to North Carolina, was diverted after smoke was detected in cabin.
The plane landed uneventfully. No injuries were reported.

What: United Airlines Airbus A319-100 en route from Denver to Des Moines

Why: After take-off, the flight ran into weather.
The pilot diverted to Omaha, where they made a safe landing. However, on departure from Omaha, the plane developed engine vibration, and had to return to Omaha.
A United Express jet made an emergency landing at North Central West Virginia Airport in Bridgeport, West Virginia, on January 25.
The ERJ 145 regional plane was heading from Washington Dulles International Airport, Virginia to Dayton, Ohio when the crew reported engine trouble and requested emergency landing.
The plane landed uneventfully at around 6 p.m. and no one was injured.
The aircraft was taken for inspection.
An Air India flight made an emergency landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport, Odisha, India, on June 4th.
The plane, en-route from Bangalore, Karnataka, to Kolkata, West Bengal, had to be diverted after it developed a technical issue.
The plane landed uneventfully. There were 149 passengers and 6 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

Why: While en route, the plane developed a technical problem. The flight diverted to Madrid, where the plane landed safely. Passengers disembarked without any problem, and were booked on an alternative flight the next day.
