    Lufthansa Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Hamburg

    Lufthansa flight LH-16 made an emergency landing in Hamburg, Germany, on June 16th.

    The Airbus A319-100 plane flying from Frankfurt, Germany, was descending toward Hamburg when the crew requested emergency assistance due to smell of smoke in cockpit and cabin.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. The passengers were examined by medical teams at the airport while four crew members were taken to hospital.

    Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Montana

    Delta Airlines flight DL-4521 made an emergency landing in Helena, Montana, on June 24th.

    The plane heading from Pasco, Washington, to Minneapolis, Minnesota, was diverted due to issues with the cabin pressure.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Air Canada Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport

    Air CanadaAir Canada flight 623 made an emergency landing at Halifax Stanfield International Airport in Nova Scotia, Canada, on January 8.

    According to the airline, the pilot reported an “acrid odour” and requested an emergency landing back at the airport. The plane was heading to Toronto at the time.

    The Embraer 190 regional jet landed safely.

    All 66 passengers remained unhurt.

    Why: Four hours into the 7/12 hour flight, a fuel leak occurred. Engine 4, the source, was shut down as a consequence. 90 minutes after the leak was detected, the plane made a safe emergency landing in Perth. Last year an exploding oxygen tank blew a hole in this very plane; but there is no connection.

    LGW Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Germany

    Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter (LGW) flight AB-6838 had to make an emergency landing in Stuttgart, Germany, on January 5th.

    The plane flying from Dusseldorf, Germany, was on final approach when the crew received an unsafe gear indication.

    The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
