    What: Condor Boeing 767-300 en route from Punta Cana Dominican Republic to Frankfurt/Main
    Where: Punta Cana

    Why: After takeoff from Punta Cana, the gear did not retract. When the crew received a “disagreeing gear doors” alert, they returned to the airport and made a safe landing about 2 and a half hours later.

    What: Cessna 421 registered to Fly High Inc. en route from Col. James Jabara Airport at 8:08 a.m., heading to Millard Airport in Omaha
    Where: 13000 block of E. 69th St In Field North of Wichita
    When: just before 8:15 this morning.
    Who: CFO Janet Cervantes, Rusty Eck employee Buck Leedum, and pilot Jim Kincaid.
    Why: The pilot made a belly landing. There were minor injuries.

    Airbus Hydraulics Cancel Frontier Flight to Mexico

    What: Frontier Airlines Airbus A319-10 en route from Denver to Mexico
    Where: Denver
    When: Sep 5th 2009
    Why: When the plane indicated a hydraulics system warning, the crew returned to the Denver airport for an emergency landing where they landed about 40 minutes after takeoff.

    EasyJet Flight Returns to Copenhagen due to Bird Strike

    EasyJet flight U2-1986 had to return and make an emergency landing in Copenhagen, Denmark, on June 13th.

    The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Manchester, England, but had to turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines due to a bird strike.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Southwest Airlines flight Makes Priority Landing at Milwaukee

    southwest_airlines_logoSouthwest Airlines flight 663 on its way from Orlando, Florida, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, made a priority landing at about 10:18 a.m. on August 17.

    The pilot declared emergency just before landing at Milwaukee, after the crew reported an electrical smell onboard.

    The plane carrying 127 passengers and 5 crew members landed uneventfully and no one was hurt.

    The aircraft was taken for examination while an alternate plane was arranged for continuing the next flight to Los Angeles.

    CommutAir Flight Returns to Washington Dulles International Airport

    CommutAirCommutAir flight C5-4979 had to return and make an emergency landing at Washington Dulles International Airport, Virginia, on July 26th.

    The plane took off for Norfolk, Virginia, but had to return shortly afterwards after one of the engines stopped working mid-air.

    The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained uninjured.
