    Eastern Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing in France

    Eastern Airways flight T3-1763 made an emergency landing in Toulouse, France, on April 13th.

    The plane flying from Bristol, England, was on final approach to Toulouse when the crew received an unsafe gear indication and went around to work the checklists.

    The plane landed safely on second approach. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Wizz Air Jet Diverts to Sweden after Passenger Tries to Kick Down Cockpit Door

    WizzAirWizz Air flight W63215 made an emergency landing in Malmo, Sweden, on November 3.

    Authorities said the pilot declared an emergency after an unruly passenger kicked the cockpit door and tried to open two emergency exits. The passengers wrestled him to the ground while the plane, en-route from Bucharest, Romania to Torp, Norway, was diverted to Sweden.

    The plane landed safely. The 43-year-old man was taken into custody.

    The plane took off again and reached its destination with a delay of 1.5 hours.

    Delta Airlines Flight Returns to Atlanta due to Flight Control Issues

    Delta Airlines flight DL-1752 had to return for an emergency landing in Atlanta, Georgia, on March 13th.

    The Boeing 717-200 plane took off for Savannah, Georgia, but had to turn back due to flight control issues.

    The plane landed back safely. All 116 people aboard remained unharmed.

    The plane had experienced a similar issue on March 12th.

    Envoy Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing at JFK Airport

    Envoy Air flight MQ-3940 had to return for an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on October 10th.

    The plane took off for Montreal, Canada, but had to turn back due to disagreeing gear indications.

    The plane landed safely. All forty-seven people aboard remained unharmed.

    Spicejet Lands over CargoFire indication

    What: Spicejet Boeing 737-800 en route from Mumbai to Hyderabad
    Where: Mumbai
    When: May 27th 2011
    Who: 140 passengers
    Why: While en route, the cargo hold indicated a fire. The crew followed procedures (checklists) and returned to Mumbai where they made a safe landing half an hour after take off. A replacement jet was provided.

    No actual fire was located.

    Amazon Flight Crashes; Wreckage, Survivors, found

    A military C-98 went missing Thursday between Cruzeiro do Sul in northwestern Acre state and the Amazonas town of Tabatinga. Eleven were on board. Nine survived, rescued by Matis Indians who live in the area.

    The bodies of two plane crash victims were found in the Amazon rainforest Sunday. The C-98 Caravan wreckage was found about six feet deep in the river. One body was found in the plane, the other close by.

    The miltary mission of the plane was anindigenous community immunization campaign.

    The engine of the plane stopped in mid-air, the pilot landing (deliberately or not) in the Itui River.
