US Airways flight 723 had to return and make an emergency landing at Dublin Airport, Ireland, on February 26.
The plane took off for Philadelphia at 11:15 a.m. but had to return shortly afterwards due to an issue with its flaps.
The Boeing 757 landed back uneventfully.
There were 132 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.
Aeroflot flight SU-2384 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Prague, Czech Republic, on November 11th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane heading from Sheremetyevo International Airport, Russia, to Geneva, Switzerland, was diverted after the first officer suffered a medical emergency and became incapacitated.
The plane landed safely. The first officer was rushed to a hospital.
Ikar airlines flight IK-2474 had to make an emergency landing at Haikou airport, China on June 18.
The incident happened when the Boeing-767-300 was en route from Thailand to Yekaterinburg, located in the Russian Urals.
According to authorities, the decision to make an emergency landing was due to a power generator malfunction. The plane landed safely, with a delay of 3 hours from its scheduled landing time of 1:40 a.m. No one was hurt.
Gennady Chuprov, the airline’s Deputy Director General for flight safety, said that 231 passengers were accommodated at a Wuhan city hotel.
KLM flight KL-661 had to return and make an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on September 4th.
The Boeing 787-900 plane took off for Houston, Texas, but had to turn back due to a hydraulic issue.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

The plane flying from Portland, Oregon, was descending toward Klamath Falls when the crew declared an emergency due to a cargo smoke indication.
The plane landed uneventfully. All 20 people aboard remained safe.
A small twin-engine plane, owned by Gama Aviation, made an emergency landing at Sikorsky Memorial Airport in Stratford, Connecticut, shortly before 8 a.m. on December 3.
The pilot decided to return after one of the engines of the plane stopped working just 10 minutes into the flight.
The plane landed uneventfully and all 7 people aboard remained unharmed.
