An Air France flight had to make an emergency landing at Koltsovo International Airport in Yekaterinburg, Russia, on February 15.
According to Russian media, the decision for emergency landing was made after one of the engines of Boeing 777 stopped working. The flight was en-route from Seoul, South Korea to Paris, France at the time.
The plane, carrying 290 passengers and 18 crew members, landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.
United Airlines flight UA-2 made an emergency landing at Narita International Airport, Japan, on November 28th.
The Boeing 787-900 plane was heading from Singapore to San Francisco, California, when it encountered turbulence twice, causing injuries to two crew members.
The crew subsequent diverted to Narita International Airport.

On January 22, 2013, an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 from Seattle to McCarran was en route when the co-pilot fainted. The pilot requested priority landing. The plane landed in McCarran ten minutes early at about 5:26 p.m.. None of the 146 passengers were injured.
Alaskan Airlines said that while on board, the co-pilot was checked by a doctor on the flight, and that the co-pilot’s medical records were up to date. He was hospitalized on landing. A news program reported the plane landing on auto-pilot but an Alaskan Airlines official made assurances that the pilot landed the plane.
Rossiya Airlines flight SU-6551 had to return and make an emergency landing in Moscow, Russia, on January 24th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Sochi, Russia, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew received a cabin pressure warning.

The plane landed safely. All 6 crew members aboard remained unharmed.
A U.S. military aircraft had to make an emergency landing at St. John’s International Airport in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, on October 21.
According to airport spokesperson Marie Manning, the decision for emergency landing was made due to a warning indicator in the cockpit. The U.S. Air Force C-130 plane was heading from Ireland to St. John’s at the time.
The aircraft landed uneventfully and all 7 people aboard remained unharmed.
