    Wizz Air Flight Rejects Take Off after Bird Strike

    WizzAirWizz Air flight W6-4340 had to reject take off from Memmingen, Germany, on September 25th.

    The plane was accelerating to take off for Sofia, Bulgaria, when a bird hit it, prompting the crew to reject take off.

    The plane, carrying 143 passengers, safely returned to the apron.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    What: Learjet 45 flown by the Mexican government
    Where: Mexico City
    When: 04 NOV 2008
    Who: Mexican Interior Minister Juan Camilo Mourino, Deputy Attorney General Josi Luis Santiago Vasconcelos and Miguel Monterubio Cubas, the director of social communication.
    Why: At 18:45, although the aircraft was instructed to switch to the Tower frequency which the pilot acknowledged but never contacter Mexico Tower. The Learjet then crashed on the Avenida Reforma and caught fire. Several cars were destroyed and at least five people on the ground were killed.

    United States investigators have been called in to help quell the rumors that the flight was sabotaged by drug cartels. Two investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration began working at the crash site on Tuesday night and the NTSB sent a team to investigate. Due to a history of government cover-ups, Mexicans don’t believe the Mexican government will tell the truth about the cause of the crash.

    Turkish Airlines Jet Lands in Emergency with Cracked Windshield

    Turkish airlinesTurkish Airlines flight TK1530 made an emergency landing at Nuremberg Airport, Germany, on April 8.

    The Airbus 321 was heading from Düsseldorf to Istanbul when its windshield began to crack. The pilots then immediately reported the situation and requested an emergency landing at the nearest airport.

    The plane landed uneventfully and everyone aboard remained unhurt.

    The aircraft was taken for repair.

    Germania Airlines Flight Returns to Germany after Hydraulic Failure

    Germania Airlines flight ST-8536 had to return and make an emergency landing in Dresden, Germany, on March 14th.

    The Boeing 737-700 plane took off for Hurghada, Egypt, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a hydraulic failure.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Helicopter Skids Down German Slope


    On January 26, 2014, a Deutsche Rettungsflugwacht e.V. Eurocopter EC135 P2 flew a medical evacuation of a skiing accident victim.

    The pilot aborted two landings that were too steep, and had landed on the third try on the snow-covered hill near a ski run in Oberwiesenthal.

    The pilot had just left the helicopter when it slid under its own weight thirty meters into the valley, and collided with a post and a vehicle, and sustained damage. There were skiers around as the helicopter slid by but they managed to get out of the way. There were no casualties except for the rotor blade of the helicopter. The investigation is underway.

    UPS Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Shannon Airport

    UPS flight 5X-203 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on August 4th.

    The plane heading from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Cologne, Germany, was diverted after the crew noticed smoke on board.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.
