    Envoy Air Plane Returns to Grand Rapids due to Crack in Cabin Window

    Envoy AirEnvoy Air flight MQ-3721 made an emergency landing in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on November 28th.

    The plane took off for Chicago, Illinois, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a crack in a cabin window.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Where: Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport
    When: May 4 2011
    Who: 115 passengers
    Why: After taking off, the left engine compressor stalled. The pilots shut down the left engine and returned to the airport.

    Spartanburg EMS, and Boiling Springs, Greer, Pelham and Tyger River fire departments were on the scene

    Indiana Pilot Crashes in Corn Field


    What: #3875C C421 Golden Eagle Executive Commuter plane
    Where: Connersville Indiana
    When: 8:15 pm
    Who: James Robert Savor, 47
    Why: Around 8:15 witnesses heard the plane flying low. It crashed in a corn field south East County Road 400, near Henry Road two miles from the airport Weather at the time was rainy. The pilot was killed in the crash.

    Delta Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing due to Engine Fire

    Delta Airlines flight DL-30 had to return and make an emergency landing in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 18th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Heathrow Airport, England but had to turn back after one of the engines caught fire.

    The plane landed back safely. All two hundred and eighty-eight people aboard remained unharmed.

    Danish Air Survey Crash

    On March 6, 2013, a Danish Air Survey, BioFlight A/S Partenavia P.68 Observer was on a bird counting mission when it made an emergency landing at Copenhagen-Roskilde Airport. Two people were aboard.

    The hard landing and fire virtually broke the plane in two and sent a plume of thick black smoke up in the air.

    The plane crashed on approach and caught fire. A large number of emergency vehicles responded to the scene, according to Ekstra Bladet

    A “large number” of emergency vehicles, including fire and rescue services arrived on the scene.

    The crash is under investigation.

    Small Plane Crashes During Culpeper Air Fest in Virginia; Pilot Dead

    A small plane crashed near Culpeper Regional Airport in Culpeper County, Virginia, on October 12th.

    The incident happened when the pilot was doing an aerobatic act for the Culpeper Air Fest.

    The pilot was killed in the crash.

    The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.
