    Wings of Alaska Plane Crashed in Juneau, Pilot Dead

    wings of alaskaWings of Alaska flight 202 crashed on a hillside, north of Point Howard, in Southeast Alaska, on July 17.

    The Cessna 207 was flying from Juneau to Hoonah when it went down.

    The pilot, identified as Fariah Patterson, 45, lost his life in the crash, while all 4 passengers survived with injuries. Alaska State Troopers identified the passengers as Humberto Herrera, 57, his wife Sandra, 60, Jose Vasquez, 15, and Ernestine Hanlon-Able, 64.

    The NTSB is investigating the cause of the accident.

    Small Plane Crashed in Orleans County, New York

    A small plane crashed in a wooded area in Gaines, Orleans County, New York, on August 23rd.

    The plane had just taken off from Gaines Valley Aviation Airport when it experienced a mechanical problem and went down.

    The pilot, Earl Luce Jr., 64, of Brockport, was the only one aboard. He remained uninjured.

    4 Young People Die in Field in Mexico

    What: Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee
    Where: Jesus Ernesto Lozano Airport Chihuahua Mexico
    When: Sept 29, 2011
    Who: 4 aboard, 4 fatalities
    Why: Four people were killed in a plane that crashed in Valle de Allende. The passengers were found beside the plane. The front of the plane was gone.

    Valles Alejandro Medrano, 23, student
    Jasmine Meza Gabriela Nuñez, 20, student
    Marcos Moreno Angel Carrillo, 23, farmer
    Gabriel Edgar Campos Abes, 24 pilot

    They were from Jimenez, and two were students of Centro Cultural Universitario.

    They crashed on land belonging to Capitán Ernesto Lozano, who heard the crash, and arrived in time to find two dead passengers, and two dying.

    The cause of the accident is unknown. Investigators were called about the crash at 10:15 Sept 29, 2011

    Chopper Crashes on Devon Hotel Grounds

    What: 2 seat helicopter
    Where: Devon
    When: May 16 2011
    Who: 2 aboard
    Why: The 2 seat helicopter crashed on the grounds of the Gridleigh Park Hotel in Devon. The wind was reported blowing at about 30 plus knots.

    Devon and Somerset Fire Service responded, and used foam on the chopper which is said to have landed on its roof. The two aboard were injured, treated on the scene.

    Yellow Wings Crash in Kenya


    On July 25, 2013, a Yellow Wings Air Services Ltd Cessna U206F Stationair Cessna type 206, registration number 5Y BUG en route from Nanyuk to Wilson Airport disappaeared from radar around 5 pm in the Aberdares Range, Nairobi Kenya.

    The plane went missing Thursday, was found Saturday. Bodies were said to be recovered Sunday.

    The three missing swiss, a family of father, mother and daughter, were found beside the wreckage by a Kenya Wildlife Services helicopter.

    The plane struck the side of a mountain in the Aberdares mountains.

    On Saturday, not to be confuse with this accident, a plane with one occupant crashed in Tsavo National Park.

    Medical Helicopter Crash outside of Chicago

    What: Rockford Memorial Hospital MBB BK 117 A-3 en route from Rockford to Mendota
    Where: Rochelle, Illinois
    When: Dec 10, 2012 8:30 p.m.
    Who: 3 aboard, 3 fatalities
    Why: A Rockford Memorial Hospital’s REACT helicopter crashed in a field at about 8:30 p.m. in Rochelle midway between Rockford and Mendota. Pilot Andy Olson, flight nurse Jim Dillow, R.N. and flight nurse Karen Hollis, R.N. died on the scene.

    The medical helicopter was en route to Mendota to pick up a patient. No patients were aboard at the time of the accident.
