On March 6, 2013, a Danish Air Survey, BioFlight A/S Partenavia P.68 Observer was on a bird counting mission when it made an emergency landing at Copenhagen-Roskilde Airport. Two people were aboard.
The hard landing and fire virtually broke the plane in two and sent a plume of thick black smoke up in the air.
The plane crashed on approach and caught fire. A large number of emergency vehicles responded to the scene, according to Ekstra Bladet
A “large number” of emergency vehicles, including fire and rescue services arrived on the scene.
The crash is under investigation.
