What: American Airlines Boeing 767-300 en route from Miami to Chicago
Where: Miami
When: Feb 16th 2012
Why: After a normal takeoff, the flight was over Orlando when the plane developed bleed air problems.
Pilots returned to Miami and made a safe landing.
What: TUIFly Boeing 737-800 en route from Alicante to Nuremberg
Where: Alicante
When: Mar 15th 2011
Who: 144 passengers
Why: After takeoff, the pilots and crew of the flight felt dizzy and impaired. Passengers also reported feeling dizzy after the ground power unit started the engines. The pilot reported the emergency and returned to Alicante and made a safe landing.
We don’t see a statement from the ministerio de fomento regarding this incident.
A Volaris plane was hit by a luggage cart at Los Angeles International Airport, California, on February 17th.
The incident happened when the plane was lining up to perform flight Y4-919 to Guadalajara, Mexico.
The plane was unable to depart and safely returned to the apron.

What: Egypt Air Express Embraer ERJ-170 en route from Cairo to Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt
Where: Cairo
When: Dec 6th 2009
Who: 71 passengers
Why: While en route, the plane acknowledged an unspecified technical malfunction, and returned to the Cairo airport for a safe landing.
What a week for Embraers.
GoJet Airlines flight DL-6266 had to return and make an emergency landing in Boston, Massachusetts, on February 10th.
The Canadair CRJ-900 plane took off for Raleigh–Durham International Airport, North Carolina, but had to return shortly afterwards due to smell of smoke in the cockpit.
The plane landed back safely. All 76 passengers and 4 crew members remained unharmed.

What: United Airlines Boeing 767 Flight 923 London to Washington, D.C.
Where: Bangor International Airport
When: 4/01/09, 10:00 am
Who: 178 passengers and 11 crew members
Why: Pilots said there was smoke in the cockpit and that one of the plane’s two engines failed. They landed safely at Bangor International Airport, Maine.
A small Piper fixed-wing aircraft had to make an emergency landing in a field off Labette Road and Louisiana Road near Ottawa, Franklin County, Kansas, on January 19.
It is believed that the pilot was forced to land in the field due to icy conditions.
The plane landed uneventfully. There were two people aboard at the time, including the pilot Robert Fenton, 67, of Olathe, and his passenger Donald Davis, 68, of Lenexa; both of them remained unharmed.
