    Single-Engine Beechcraft Crashed in North Carolina; 3 Killed

    Beechcraft BonanzaA single-engine plane crashed and caught fire near Horneytown, in the south of Kernersville, Forsyth County, North Carolina, at 12:12 P.M on September 7.

    The Beechcraft A36 was en-route to Piedmont Triad International Airport, North Carolina, from Sarasota, Florida, at the time.

    The airport’s director Kevin Baker said the pilot was communicating a problem to ATC before the crash, but could not explain it.

    The FAA and NTSB were investigating the crash.

    According to an NTSB spokesperson, 3 people lost their lives in the accident.

    Ultralight Crash in Croatia Kills 2

    What: Aviasud Mistral
    Where: near Rogotin in the Neretva river valley, Croatia
    When: May 16, 2012 8.45 pm
    Who: 2 aboard, 2 fatalities
    Why: The ultralight was flying low just above the wires and planting bait for rabid foxes when it crashed in a tangerine field near the mouth of the Neretva. 57 year old Stjepan (Stephen) Vlahovica-Pace and 24 year old Matea Bebic aboard were killed in the crash. Vlahovica owned the plane. Matea was an aeronautical engineer.

    The ambulance driver who was first on the scene was Vlahovica’s brother Nado.

    Air Canada Jet Crash Lands at Halifax Stanfield International Airport

    Air CanadaAir Canada flight 624 crash landed at Halifax Stanfield International Airport, located in Nova Scotia, Canada, on March 29.

    The plane took off from Toronto and was attempting to landing at Halifax International Airport during a snow storm when it skidded off the runway.

    There were 133 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time. The airline confirmed that 23 people were taken to hospital and that none of the injuries were life-threatening.

    It is believed that the aircraft clipped a power line, resulting in power outage at the airport. However, the airport officials did not confirm this.

    The cause of accident is under investigation.

    Two Planes Collide in Midair in Germany; At Least 2 Dead

    Two small planes collided in midair near Schwabisch Hall Airport, Germany, on April 15.

    The incident happened when the planes coming from Stuttgart and Regensburg respectively were attempting to land at the airport.

    At least two people were killed in the crash.

    Military Helicopter Crashes in Egypt; 2 Pilots Killed

    A military helicopter crashed near El-Sheikh Gebyeel Military Airport, Abi Hamad, Al-Sharqeya, Egypt, on September 19th.

    The helicopter was carrying two pilots, both of whom were killed in the crash.

    The crash presumably happened due to a technical failure inside the helicopter.

    A detailed investigation has been initiated.

    Krasavia Chopper Kills 1, 10 injured

    What: Krasavia Mi-8 helicopter
    Where: Krasnoyarsk Russia
    When: Oct 17, 2012 8:00 a.m.
    Who: 1 fatality, 10 injured
    Why: A Krasavia helicopter with four crew transporting eight passengers to an oil field crashed on landing at Evenkiysky at 8:00 a.m

    There was one fatality and three serious injuries, eight minor injuries. The destination was identified as the Yurupchen-5 oil field.

    The tail rotor of the chopper struck something or was damaged by the main rotor, and it fell on its side.
