Why: The ultralight developed problems on takeoff, and crashed near an Artogne airstrip. Passenger Ivan Belotti, resident of Cevo Brescia died in the crash. The pilot, Alan Planeti of Esine Brescia has been hospitalized in serious condition.

A single-engine Piper PA-32 crashed during an emergency landing at interstate 285 in DeKalb County, Georgia on May 8.The incident happened when the plane was transporting 4 people from DeKalb Peachtree Airport to Oxford, Mississippi to attend a University of Mississippi graduation ceremony.
Everyone aboard was killed in the crash. The victims were later identified as the pilot Greg Byrd, his sons Christopher and Phillip, and Christopher’s fiancee, Jackie Kulzer.
The cause of accident is being investigated.

Who: Spanish businessman Virgilio Casado was piloting the helicopter along with fellow Spaniards Jose Luis Briz Mateo and Juan Calvo Torre. Carlos Sigfrido Hurtarte Rivas, a Guatemalan citizen, also died in the crash.
Why: Cause is under investigation but likely heavy winds and rainAfter a search delayed by bad weather, the bodies arrived in Guatemala City on Friday. A local aeronautics official believes the helicopter ran into a cloud and lost orientation and control (by a pilot unaccustomed to flying by instruments.)
Mooney Crashes Home Near Golf Course

A privately owned Mooney M20M TLS crashed into two homes in Greenwood at 2:19 p.m. on Patterson Street across from the Valle Vista Golf Course.The pilot was the only fatality. The co-pilot was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition.
Two people were aboard.
At least three were injured in the accident. Two people on the ground sustained injury.
Two homes in the first block of Patterson Street were damaged after the plane lost power during takeoff.
Plane Crash in Brazil Kills 5
A single-engine Embraer-720C plane crashed into a house in Balsas, Maranhao state, in northeastern Brazil, at about 6:19 a.m. on August 3.
The plane was transporting an elderly sick lady and her relatives to a hospital when it crashed.
All five people aboard the plane were killed. The victims included the pilot, Delano Martins Coelho, 36, his fiancée and nurse, Lorena Alves de Lima, 22, an 87 year old sick lady Maria de Jesus Cruz e Silva who was being shifted from a hospital in Balsas to another in Piaui, her daughter, Francisca Pereira e Silva and one of her grandsons, Alan Patrick Silva Setulvedo.
The house hit by the plane was occupied by three people. However, none of them was hurt.
The cause of the crash is not yet known.

German Helicopter Crash Kills Pilot on the Autobahn

On Jan 10, 2013, a Robinson R44 Astro en route from Augsburg to Bretzfeld got caught up in a 380 kilovolts high voltage power transmission line and crashed on the Autobahn 6 in Southwestern Germany.The helicopter was flying below radar.
Pieces of the helicopter hit a truck, but the driver was not seriously hurt. The accident occurred during rush hour between the junction Schwäbisch Hall and just before the Kochertalbrücke.
The pilot, 42 year old Sven Berger was killed in the crash and will have to be identified thru his dna. The remains of the helicopter are melted, burned, broken and bent, and smell like burned plastic. First responders could not get through the flames to the helicopter.
Berger was a firefighter, member of the Commerce and Industry association and owned the Schwab Bacher Kithcen Studios. The tentative cause for the accident is poor visibility. There were spots of freezing temperatures, rain and fog in Brachbach.
