Helicopter Crash in Kenya Leaves 4 Injured
A 12-seater helicopter crashed at the National Youth Service (NYS) engineering institute near Mathare, Nairobi, Kenya, on September 8th.
The helicopter carrying 4 people was on routine patrol when it developed a mechanical problem.
All 4 people suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.
The injured were taken to hospital.

What: Poelking Air LLC Beechcraft B36TC Bonanza taking off from Wright Brothers Airport to Chicago
Where: Ohio: 741 along Penny Royal Road, Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport.,

Who: 2 fatalities, 2 occupants
Why: After takeoff, the Beechcraft Bonanza experienced problems. On the pilot’s attempted landing, the plane’s right wing struck the runway. The plane cartwheeled and exploded 1,000 feet south of the runway, killing both aboard.
The pilot was Tom Hausfeld; the passenger was his daughter Kacie Hausfeld.
Small Plane Crashes in Illinois; 1 Killed
A small plane crashed into a cornfield in Marengo, Illinois, on December 9th.
The plane went down near Meyer Road, just north of Pleasant Grove Road.
Authorities found a man’s body at the crash site. According to McHenry County Coroner Anne Majewski, “An autopsy will be performed Monday morning in the McHenry County Coroner’s Office…No scientific identification of the victim has been made at this time, so no name can be released until this is accomplished.”
The plane is registered to Rob Sherman of Poplar Grove.
