    Cessna Makes Emergency Landing on Key Biscayne Golf Course

    A Cessna 150 aircraft made an emergency landing on a golf course in Key Biscayne, Florida, on October 26.

    The plane was en-route from Miami-Opa-locka Executive Airport to Miami Executive Airport when the pilot noticed an engine problem and decided to make an emergency landing at Crandon Golf course.

    The plane struck some palm trees while landing and sustained damage to one of its wings.

    The pilot and his only passenger remained uninjured.

    The aircraft is owned by a company in Wilmington, Delaware.

    Vintage Airplane Crashed in Minnesota

    A vintage plane veered off the runway into a deep drainage ditch during landing at the Rush City Airport in east-central Minnesota.

    The incident happened during the Rush City Fly-in on the morning of June 8.

    The pilot from Amery, Wisconsin, was uninjured.

    The 1936 Tailor J2 aircraft sustained damage at the front end, including a broken propeller and broken landing gear.

    The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of crash.

    United Airlines Flight Rejects Take Off due to Engine Failure

    The plane was accelerating to take off for Washington Dulles International Airport, Virginia, when the crew reported failure of left engine and rejected take off.

    The plane was towed to the apron. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    Bogus Report

    After a weekend of combing the mountains behind Stanford University, the FAA has deemed the report of a downed Santa Cruz Mountains flight to be a fake. Someone on an emergency air traffic channel had called for help, saying he was a passenger in a plane crashed in the mountains north of Stanford University. However, there had been no mayday signals, no emergency beacons, and no missing aircraft.

    Southwest Airlines Flight Diverts to Orlando due to Cracked Windshield

    Southwest Airlines flight WN-6584 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Orlando, Florida, on February 21st.

    The Boeing 737-700 plane heading from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Nashville, Tennessee, was diverted due to a cracked windshield.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Ukrainian Warplane Shot Down Near the MH17 Crash Site

    Ukraine FlagA Ukrainian fighter jet crashed after it was shot down near the crash site of MH17, in Eastern Ukraine, on August 7.

    The incident happened when the Sukhoi warplane was flying low over the rebel-held area, near Donetsk, some 40 km west of the site where the Malaysian Airline flight MH17 crashed on July 17.

    The aircraft exploded midair before it crashed into the ground; however, the witnesses reported that the pilot managed to parachute out.

    Spokesperson of Ukrainian military Vladislav Seleznyov, confirmed that rebels had shot down a fighter jet and said that “the pilot managed to steer the craft away from a residential area.” He also said that a search and rescue operation is being carried out for the pilot.
