Small Plane Crash-Lands Near Leesburg Executive Airport, VA

A small plane crash-landed near Leesburg Executive Airport in Loudoun County, Virginia, on April 22nd.

The Sonex experimental plane was heading to Georgia when the pilot decided to return to Leesburg due to bad weather. However, as he was approaching the airport, the plane developed an engine issue, forcing him to crash-land in a field.

The pilot Joseph R. Bryant, 53, of Washington, remained unharmed.

The FAA is investigating.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Dallas

A small plane made an emergency landing in Dallas, Texas, on February 11th.

Authorities said the pilot reported engine issues before the plane landed in a field near South Lancaster Road and Loop 12 in southeast Oak Cliff.

There were 2 people aboard at the time; both of them remained uninjured.

The plane was flying from Dallas Executive Airport at the time.

Five Killed as Small Plane Crashed near Bakersfield

small planeA small plane crashed in an orchard near Bakersfield, California, on December 19.

The single-engine Piper PA32 aircraft took off from Reid-Hillview Airport, San Jose, to Henderson Executive Airport, Las Vegas, when disappeared from the radar and went down.

There were five members of a Gilroy, California, family aboard the plane at the time of crash; all of them were killed. Their identities have not yet been released.

The accident is being investigated.

2 Killed as Small Plane Crashed into Lake in Orlando

A Beechcraft Bonanza plane crashed into Clear Lake in Orlando, Florida, on November 20.

The six-seater aircraft, carrying two people, took off from Orlando Executive Airport but crashed just fifteen minutes later into the lake located off Rio Grande Avenue.

Both occupants of the plane, including a man who appeared to be in his 50s and a teenage girl, were killed in the crash.

Authorities said the plane was en-route to Gainesville, Texas, at the time.

The NTSB and the FAA are investigating.
