    KLM Cityhopper Returns to Amsterdam due to Electrical Odor

    KLM Cityhopper flight KL-933 had to return and make an emergency landing at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Amsterdam, Netherlands, on September 22nd.

    The Embraer ERJ-190 flying to Dublin, Ireland, had to return due to electrical odor in its cockpit.

    The plane landed safely.

    No one was injured.

    What: Iberia Airbus A340-600 en route from San Jose to Madrid
    Where: Santo Domingo
    When: Sep 14th 2009
    Who: passenger identified as Maurer David Charles experienced a medical emergency
    Why: In flight, the passenger became ill, necessitating an emergency landing, and immediate trip to the hospital where it was found by ex ray that he had swallowed bags of drugs.

    The passenger is facing criminal charges.

    Southwest Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Lubbock

    Southwest Airlines flight WN-55 made an emergency landing in Lubbock, Texas, on August 28th.

    The Boeing 737-700 plane heading from Phoenix, Arizona, to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was diverted due to engine vibrations.

    The plane landed safely. All one hundred and four people aboard remained unharmed.

    Cracked Windshield Prompts Delta Airlines Emergency Landing

    DeltaA Delta Airlines flight, operated by ExpressJet, made an emergency landing at Birmingham–Shuttlesworth International Airport in Alabama at around 9:25 a.m. on November 8.

    The airport authorities said that the flight, on its way from Atlanta to Tulsa, Oklahoma, was diverted due to cracked windshield.

    The CRJ-900 aircraft landed uneventfully and all 20 passengers and 4 crew members remained unharmed.

    ExpressJet spokesperson said that an alternate aircraft was arranged for the passengers.

    The cause of crack is not clear at the moment.

    Military Charter Plane Makes Emergency Landing in New Hampshire

    A military charter plane made an emergency landing at Portsmouth International Airport at Pease, New Hampshire, on October 28th.

    The Boeing 767 plane took off for Columbus, Ohio, but had to turn back due to indication of a flaps problem.

    The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    Brussels Bound Delta Airlines Plane Rejects Take-off due to Engine Problem

    250px-Delta_logo.svgDelta Airlines flight DL-42 rejected takeoff at John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, on November 2.

    The Boeing 767-300, en-route to Brussels, Belgium, had to abort taking off due to maintenance issue with its engine.

    The plane returned to the terminal uneventfully.

    No injuries were reported.
