Why: While landing in heavy rain, the plane skidded off the runway and came to a stop between two taxiways.
4 passengers were hospitalized, but no injuries were reported.
Substantial tire and gear damage may have occurred from the recovery efforts.
Frontier Airlines flight F9-1977 had to return and make an emergency landing in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 6th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Las Vegas, Nevada, but had to turn back due to a bird strike.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

What: Iberia Airbus A319-100 en route from Madrid Spain to Frankfurt Germany
Where: Madrid
When: Jun 9th 2011
Who: 110 passengers
Why: After takeoff, one of the passengers undressed, and attacked the flight attendant who inquired about his naked condition. The pilot returned to Madrid. The plane was met at the gate by officials in Madrid, although no charges were filed.
United Airlines flight UA-209 had to reject takeoff from San Francisco, California, on November 22nd.
The Boeing 737-800 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Seattle, Washington, when the crew rejected takeoff reporting a bird strike.
The plane safely returned to the apron.
All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

What: Eurolot Polish Airlines Eurolot ATR 72 en route from Krakaw to Warsaw
Where: John Paul II Balice International Airport, Warsaw Poland

Who: 27 passengers and 4 crew
Why: In mid flight, the pilot detected cabin pressure problems, and had inconsistent readings. He reduced his altitude to handle the cabin pressure, and told ATC he would be crash-landing; however, the landing was normal.
