    Blue Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Romania

    The plane took off for Rome Fiumicino airport, Italy, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew reported a loud noise in the cockpit.

    The plane landed uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    Lufthansa Flight Returns to Frankfurt due to Smoke Indication

    Lufthansa flight LH-438 had to return and make an emergency landing in Frankfurt, Germany, on August 20th.

    The Airbus A330-300 plane took off for Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, Texas, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a smoke indication.

    ABX Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Providence

    ABX Air flight GB-3907 made an emergency landing in Providence, Rhode Island, on December 28th.

    The Boeing 767-200 freighter plane flying from Chicago Rockford International Airport, Illinois, was descending toward Providence when the crew reported an engine issue.

    The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

    What: ANA All Nippon Airways Boeing 767-300 en route from Singapore to Tokyo
    Where: South China Sea
    When: Oct 9th 2011
    Who: 176 passengers and 10 crew
    Why: During breakfast, the flight encountered turbulence which injured five aboard. Those injured included three of the crew.

    Wake turbulence has been suggested. If so, details will show up in the investigation.

    The flight made a safe landing in Tokyo.

    Jet2 flight LS-6556 had to return and make an emergency landing at Newcastle Airport, England, on March 8th.
