Mango Airlines flight JE-348 had to return for an emergency landing in Cape Town, South Africa, on April 9th.
The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Durban, South Africa, but had to turn back after a pelican hit it.
The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

What: Jetstar Airways Airbus A330-200 en route from Phuket (Thailand) to Sydney,NS

Who: 288 passengers
Why: While en route, the autopilot failed. The pilots diverted to Singapore where they made a safe landing with emergency services on standby.
Alternative arrangements have been made for the affected passengers, who were booked onto other flights and offered accommodation in Singapore.
Virgin Atlantic flight VS-75 had to divert and make an emergency landing at London’s Gatwick Airport on September 14.
According to the airline, the Boeing 747-400 plane was en-route from Manchester, UK to Orlando, Florida, when it was diverted due to a ‘minor technical problem’.
The plane landed uneventfully after dumping extra fuel. There were 433 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.
The airline arranged a replacement aircraft for the passengers.

What: Delta/ Skywest Airlines Canadair CRJ-900 en route from Salt Lake City,UT to Houston,TX

Why: Thirty minutes after takeoff, cabin pressure dropped and oxygen masks were deployed. The crew decided to divert to Grand Junction where they landed safely.
A 4-seater, Cirrus plane made an emergency landing on 15th Avenue NE in Langola Township, Benton County, Minnesota, near Rice, at about 1:45 p.m. on September 7.
The incident happened when the plane was en route from the Mankato area to Breezy Point.
According to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, the single-engine plane, which was heading to St. Cloud Regional Airport, landed in emergency due to some mechanical problems.
None of the 4 people aboard, including the Pilot Craig Bureind, 52, of Chanhassen and his 3 passengers, suffered any injuries. The plane hit a telephone pole support wire during landing and was slightly damaged.
The FAA will investigate the incident.
JetBlue Airways flight B6-1468 had to return and make an emergency landing in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, on August 30th.
The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, but had to return shortly afterwards due to cabin pressure problems.
The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
V Air flight ZV-252 had to return and make an emergency landing in Taipei, Taiwan, on May 6th.
The Airbus A321-200 took off for Tokyo, Japan, but had to return shortly afterwards after smoke was seen emanating from a lithium power bank carried by a passenger.
The plane landed uneventfully. All 161 people aboard remained safe.
