What: American Eagle Embraer EMB-145LR en route from Chicago to Tulsa Where: Chicago When: May 31, 2012 Who: 31 aboard Why: The flight took off, but received a gear disagree message. After a flyby determining the gear were down, the pilots made an overweight landing. No injuries were reported. There were apparently no stairs provided on exit.
Passengers eventually arrived in Tulsa after 1 pm.
The same plane had just made a prior emergency landing at O’Hare.
A United Airlines flight was forced to make emergency landing at Lincoln Airport, after one of its engines malfunctioned.
The flight was carrying 168 people from Boston to San Francisco when a fault in one of its engines was noticed. The malfunctioned engine was then shut down and the Boeing 757-200 was diverted to Lincoln Airport where it made an uneventful emergency landing at 1:20 p.m. on April 6.
All passengers and crew members safely exited. Another plane was arranged, which left Lincoln at 7:40pm to take the passengers to their destination.

A TAP Air Portugal Airbus A320-214 was en route from Lisbon, Portugal to Amsterdam when it developed a problem with the air conditioning.
Pilots made an emergency landing in Paris at Orly airport.
None of the 72 passengers was injured.
However, an online twitter post assumed that the problem was an engine fire because an engine bell was heard during radio transmissions to ATC. There was no fire.

Southwest Airlines flight WN-386 had to reject take off from San Jose International Airport, California, on October 27.
The Ontario-bound Boeing 737-300 plane was accelerating for take off when its right hand engine ingested a bird, prompting the crew to reject take off at a high speed.
The plane safely returned to the apron.
The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

What: World Atlantic Charter flight en route from Westover Airforce Base to Providence Where: Albany International Airport When: Jan 25, 2011 Who: UMass men’s baskeball team Why: Ten minutes after takeoff, smoke was smelled in the plane’s cabin and cockpit. The flight diverted to Albany and made a safe landing.
No one was injured, although there was some praying and some bonding going on.
The team waited around for a replacement plane which took them to Bradford, Pennsylvania where they took a bus to the game.

EasyJet flight U2-4558 made an emergency landing in Schonefeld, Germany, on March 8th.
The Airbus A319-100 plane was flying from Copenhagen, Denmark, when the crew reported fumes on board and requested emergency medical assistance upon landing.
The plane continued for a safe landing.
