What: American Eagle E135 en route from Fayetteville, Arkansas to LaGuardia
Where: Springfield-Branson National Airport.
When: Sep 2nd 2009 6:40
Who: 22 passengers on board
Why: When smoke appeared in the cockpit, the pilot made an emergency landing in Springfield. No injuries reported and the source of the smoke was not found.
Not too sure how the passengers felt about ending up in Springfield instead of NY though.
Lufthansa flight LH-1290 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Munich, Germany, on August 20th.
