A REACH Air Medical Services aircraft crashed in Humboldt County, North Coast, California, on July 29th.
The Piper PA31 flying from Crescent City Airport, to Oakland International Airport, California, was mid-air when the crew declared emergency due to smoke in its cockpit, and later it lost connection with radar.
The plane debris was found the next morning.
All 4 people onboard including 3 crew members and one patient were killed.
A small plane crashed near Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport in Florida, on April 12.
Authorities said the twin-engine Piper PA-31 was attempting to land at the airport when it went down near Northwest 62nd Street.
All 4 people aboard the plane were killed in the crash. Their identities have not yet been released.
The aircraft took off from Orlando Executive Airport.
The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.
A helicopter crashed into a mobile home in Sebring, Florida, on October 31st.
The helicopter was carrying two people when it went down in Sebring Falls Mobile Home Park.
Both occupants of the aircraft were killed in the crash. They were identified as the pilot Christopher Lord, 45, and his passenger Christopher Brugger, 52.
One person on the ground was injured and was taken to a hospital.
Two year old Emma Reddan witnessed a Sikorsky S76 piloted by Bill Curry crashing in the Neptune Hotel car lot. The chopper’s rotor blade struck a lamp post, resulting in the crash.
Emma Reddan suffered from separation anxiety disorder.
In Civil court, Judge Matthew Deery approved a €10,000 settlement for Emma Reddan from Curry and GP Helicopter Services Ltd, of Woodstown Dale, Knocklyon, Dublin, and Barrack Construction Limited, Thomastown, Caragh, Naas, Co Kildare.
A single-engine plane crashed and caught fire in the Loveland Valley Ski Area, along Interstate 70 and west of Denver, Colorado, on June 30.
The incident happened after the plane took off from the Rocky Mountain Airport on Monday morning with a family of 3 persons on-board. All three of them were killed in the crash.
The victims belonged to Raymond, Ohio and were identified as James Kerker, 43, his wife, Amy Kerker, 39, and their 6-year-old son, Lucas Kerker. They were on their way to a family vacation in Moab, Utah, after stopping in Denver to visit family. Kerker was the registered owner of the plane and was piloting when it crashed.
Captain Randy Long from Clear Creek County Sheriff’s office said, “Initial call came from an eyewitness who watched the aircraft fail to gain enough altitude to clear the ridge line, turn back toward the Denver area, lose power and crash into the trees.”
The aircraft, which is believed to be a Piper PA model, was badly damaged. Capt. Long said, “There’s very little if anything left of the aircraft.”
The NTSB is looking into the cause of crash.

Brazil Plane Crash – Aviators call São Paolo’s Congonhas Airport “the aircraft carrier,” because landing on its notoriously short runway, surrounded by densely populated residential areas, is as touchy as trying to put down on the deck of a ship at sea. Though a Brazilian court had banned large jets from the airport in February, citing safety concerns, the ban was later overturned. On July 17, the pilot of TAM Airlines Flight JJ3054, tried to land at Congonhas, but realizing he wouldn’t be able to stop in time on the rain-slicked tarmac, tried to take off again. He failed. The Airbus A320 skidded across a road, smashed into a gas station and then into a building owned by the airline. The ensuing fireball killed all 186 people on the plane and 13 more on the ground, making this the worst air disaster in Brazilian history.
