    Aerial Banners Hard Landing in Panama City Florida


    An Aerial Banners Inc pilot flying a Piper PA-25-235 Pawnee B impacted terrain near Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport Panama City Florida on or near Vinson Road, but pilot James Land only received minor injuries.

    The pilot suffered cuts to his head and was hospitalized.

    Bay County Fire and Rescue, and deputies of BCSO responded to the scene.

    Aerial Banners Inc who owns the plane will be removing the wreckage.

    According to Bay County Press, the pilot “picked up a banner from the airport at 1400 and climbed to 900” but dropped the banner on losing power. He was attempting a landing but the engine failed before he reached a clearing.

    American Airlines Flight Returns to Des Moines due to Cabin Pressure Problem

    American Airlines flight AA-5677 had to return and make an emergency landing in Des Moines, Iowa, on December 8th.

    The plane took off for Charlotte, North Carolina, but had to turn back due to an issue with the cabin pressure.

    The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Alaska Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Seattle

    Alaska Airlines flight AS-24 had to return and make an emergency landing in Seattle, Washington, on July 16th.

    The Boeing 737-900 plane took off for Boston, Massachusetts, but had to turn back after the crew reported air quality concerns on board.

    The plane landed safely.

    Horizon Air Loses Engine, Lands Safely in Seattle

    What: Horizon Air Dash 8 en route from Vancouver to Seattle
    Where: Seattle
    When: August 31, 2012
    Who: 80 aboard
    Why: While en route, the Horizon Air/Alaska Airlines flight developed engine trouble (it was running hot).

    The pilot shut down the affected engine and made a safe landing in Seattle. None of the 76 passengers or 4 crew were hurt.

    SkyWest Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Tri-Cities Airport

    SkyWest Airlines flight OO-4475 made an emergency landing at Tri-Cities Airport, Pasco, Washington, on December 29th.

    The plane took off for Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, Minnesota, but had to turn back due to indication of a nose gear issue.

    The plane landed safely. All seventy people aboard remained unharmed.
