Emirates Airlines Plane makes Safe Landing in Australia after Descending Below Assigned Altitude
Emirates Airlines flight EK-407 made a safe emergency landing at Melbourne Airport, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, on July 14th.The Airbus A380-800 en-route from Auckland, New Zealand was on approach to Melbourne’s runway when it was descended below the minimum assigned altitude, and climbed back after receiving instruction from the ATC.
The plane landed successfully. All people onboard remained unharmed.
An investigation regarding the occurrence has been initiated.
Cebu Pacific Airbus makes Hard Landing in Philippines
Cebu Pacific flight 5J-629 made a hard landing at Sibulan Airport/ Dumaguete Airport, Sibulan, Philippines, on April 26.The Airbus A320-200, flying from Manila, Philippines, was mid-air when the crew noticed a hydraulic leak in one of its main gears. There were also found some leaves and branches in the gear.
The plane landed safely.

United Airlines flight UA-1278 made a safe landing at Denver International Airport, Denver, Colorado, on December 31.The Boeing 737-800, flying from Miami, Florida, was about to turn off the runway when the crew reported an indication of smoke in its forward cargo hold.

Piper Crashes in Hawaii, multiple injured

What: single-engine Piper Cherokee registered to Offshore Flight School Inc
Where: near White Plains Beach, near Kalaeloa, the former Barbers Point the former Barbers Point, Hawaii
When: 11:46 a.m.
Who: two women and a man were injured in the crash. The official opinion of the pilot is that she did a good job in not stalling the plane.
Why: The pilot reported steering problems shortly after takeoff. The plane was flying practice routes around Kalaeloa and lost power on departure. On attempting an emergency landing, the plane flew through power lines, plunged through trees that broke off the aircraft’s wings and crashed just outside the runway area.Offshore Flight School gives flight lessons to Japanese tourists.
