Why: While en route in bad weather, the flight crashed in Sundarpahari near Sinharsi air base. Two pilots and a co pilot were killed. Weather is assumed to be the cause, but the IAF has ordered an inquiry .

Cessna 180 Crashed in Front Yard of a New York Home
A Cessna 180, which took off from Heber Airpark, hit the trees and crashed into the front yard of a house at 303 Brownville Road in Gansevoort, Northumberland, New York, at about 5:40 pm, on August 2.The plane had two people aboard when it went upside down in the yard; both of them died at the spot. Grumman American AA-5 Traveler Totaled
What: Steven Leigh Emerson’s Grumman American AA-5 Traveler
Where: Yacolt, WAshington
When: July 5, 2011, 10:40 a.m
Who: Emerson Steven Leigh (owner) and passenger
Why: Emerson Steven Leigh was flying his Grumman American AA-5 Traveler when it was totaled when it crashed in Washington. Leigh and his passenger were treated on the scene. The plane had clipped trees, before it crashed into the gravel pit. Fire District 3, North Country Emergency Medical Service, East County Fire and Rescue, Camas Fire Department and Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded. The two were extricated and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center.Neither man had serious injuries but the plane was totaled.

Air India Plane Suffers Bird Strike Near Guwahati International Airport
Air India flight AI-889 suffered a bird strike near Guwahati International Airport, Guwahati, India, on January 19th.The incident happened when the Airbus A321-200 plane, flying from Delhi, India, was on approach to Guwahati Airport.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and sixty people aboard remained unharmed.
4 Die in a Single Engine Piper Crash
Four people were killed after a single engine Piper 32 plane, en route from Hereford, Texas, to Gettysburg, South Dakota crashed in foggy weather, in a wind farm. According to FAA records, the plane was registered to Donald J. Fischer, from Gettysburg, South Dakota.The incident occured, when the passengers of ill-fated airplane were returning after attending a sale of live cattle and embryos in Hereford. The wreckage of crashed plane was found on Monday, April 28, at the South Dakota Wind Energy Center, located towards south of Highmore and containing 27 turbines, having a height of 213 feet, excluding the blade length.
Three passengers and the pilot were pronounced dead in the incident. Luce Funeral Home confirmed the pilot’s identity as Fischer, 32, while Lien Funeral Home revealed identities of 2 passengers as Logan Rau, hailing from Java and Brent Beitelspacher, belonging to Bowdle. The identity of third passenger is not known at the moment.
A spokesperson of Florida-based NextEra Energy Inc., Steve Stengel confirmed that the incident caused damage to turbine. He also said, “It’s been so foggy up there and we haven’t had a chance to investigate.”
NTSB is investigating the cause of accident.
Algerian Plane Crash Kills 77, One Survivor
Seventy-seven people were aboard a twenty-four year old missing C-130 Hercules (#7T-WHM) that was flying from Tamanrasset to Constantine when it crashed into Mount Fortas in Algeria. The wreckage was discovered on Feb 11, 2013. The Algerian TV and Radio initially reported 102 fatalities, but updates say there were 78 aboard.The Military Lockheed C-130H-30 Hercules was flown by Al Quwwat al-Jawwiya al-Jaza’eriya.
There were four members of the crew and seventy-four passengers which included men, women and children. The assumption is that these were soldiers and military families.
One soldier aboard the military transport survived; he is hospitalized in a military hospital in Algiers.
The plane broke into three parts on impact. Fifty-five bodies were recovered on the rugged terrain in showy conditions.
Lockheed Martin who built the plane will be assisting the investigation. The plane may have been on approach to Constantine Airport.
