    Replica Vintage Crash in Trier-Fonren


    A privately operated Murphy Renegade Spirit, a single engine biplane, was en route from Trier-Fonren Airport Rhineland when it crashed, seriously injuring the pilot.

    The pilot apparently had difficulty in the air and attempted to return to the airport. He made a precautionary landing en route back to the airport.

    A Luxembourg Air Rescue medevac helicopter flew him to a hospital.

    The plane was written off as a total loss.

    Helicopter Crashes Sends Three to Flinders Medical Centre Australia


    What: Helicopter subcontracting for ElectraNet, which operates the state’s high-voltage transmission lines. flying between rows of 10m-high powerlines
    Where: on sheep-grazing land near Wagenknecht Rd, about 8km north of Murray Bridge.
    When: 11.54 am
    Who: ETSA sub-contractors flown to Flinders Medical Centre by the Adelaide Bank Rescue Helicopter.
    Why: a rotor blade struck the cables and sent the helicopter hurtling to the ground. One blade snapped off and landed about 100m away. The tail section broke off.

    Everglades Crash

    What: Bull Gator Air, Inc. Piper-PA 32 en route from Gainesville to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport
    Where: west of U.S. 27 at the Broward-Palm Beach county line in the Everglades
    When: Sunday Sept 20
    Who: 4 aboard. One “confirmed” dead though there are presumably no survivors.
    Why: After the pilot radioed in for help, the plane crashed in the Everglades while en route. The cause is unresolved and the search is ongoing for passengers’ remains.

    Borrowed Heli Hit by Wind


    On Jan 30, 2013, a Pennsylvania State Police Bell B206 was returning from searching for a missing snowmobiler at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe when strong 60 mph winds blew it over.

    The helicopter had landed and had been tied down for fueling when the wind blew it over.

    The chopper was borrowed from Altuna and is currently out of service.

    No one was injured except the helicopter.

    5 Killed after NATO helicopter Crashes in Kabul

    A helicopter crashed at NATO’s Resolute Support Mission headquarters in Kabul, Afghanistan, on October 11.

    Authorities said the British Puma Mk 2 helicopter crashed while landing at the headquarters.

    Five people were killed in the crash. The deceased include 2 U.S. service members, 2 British service members and a French civilian contractor. Their names have not yet been released.

    The cause of crash is being investigated.

    Small Plane Crashes in New York Woods; 4 Injured

    A small Cessna plane crashed in the woods in McDonough, Chenango County, New York, on the afternoon of August 8th.

    The plane carrying 4 people was travelling from Sidney, Canada, to Greene County, New York, when it hit the top of the trees.

    All 4 people were evacuated out of the plane with minor injuries.

    The injured were taken to hospital.
