Helicopter Crash Lands near Stanthorpe; No Injuries Reported

A helicopter made a crash landing on Arcot Road, Silver Spur near Stanthorpe in Queensland, Australia, shortly after 10 a.m. on October 28.

There were 2 people aboard the helicopter at the time of incident. The police confirmed that none of them sustained any injuries.

It is believed that the helicopter clipped some power lines, after which the pilot decided to make a controlled precautionary landing. The accident sparked a huge grassfire in the area, which spread over 16 hectares of grass.

The incident is under investigation by the Police and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB).
