    What: Aegean Airlines Airbus A320-200 en route from Athens to Milan
    Where: Milan
    When: Nov 10th 2010
    Who: 108 passengers, 6 crew
    Why: On touchdown in Milan, the plane generated a brake fault message. The return flight was cancelled, and the plane was pulled from service briefly for repairs.

    Emirates Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Karachi, Pakistan

    EmiratesEmirates flight EK-522 had to make an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan, on February 14.

    The Boeing 777-200, en-route from Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down its left hand engine.

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 170 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

    The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

    El Al Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Toronto

    El Al flight LY-30 had to make an emergency landing in Toronto, Canada, on December 20th.

    The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Tel Aviv, Israel, but had to turn back due to an engine failure.

    The plane landed uneventfully. There were 224 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

    Blue Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Romania

    Blue Air flight 0B-3102 had to return and make an emergency landing at Cluj International Airport, Romania, on April 1st.

    The Boeing 737-300 plane took off for Henri Coanda International Airport, Romania, but had to turn back due to an engine issue.

    The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

    Two Boeings Bump in Tanzania


    Oman Air Flight 717, a Boeing 737-800 bumped a stationary Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 767-300. The winglet on the Oman Air plane made contact.

    The Oman Air flight to Dar-Es-Salaam and Muscat was only delayed four hours.

    Neither plane reported damage. There is no indication if passengers were aboard either plane at the time of the incident.

    The incident occurred at Zanzibar International Airport, now called Abeid Amani Karume International Airport.

    4 Die in Cessna Crash

    What: Single Engine Cessna 172 en route from Santa Cruz
    When: May 11
    Who: four people were killed: pilot Martyshev Basil, his wife and two children
    Why: The plane took off from Santa Cruz 20 minutes after the expiry of the permitted duration of flights.

    50 minutes after takeoff the plane fell from the sky. No cause is yet noted.

    Apparently Martyshev was Russian and had U.S. citizenship, while his wife and children were citizens of Bolivia.
