The plane was flying from Tokyo Narita Airport, Japan, when a bird hit it, causing damage to its right wing.

Onur Air flight 8Q-371 had to make an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on January 19.
The Airbus A320-200 was flying from Istanbul, Turkey, when the crew requested an emergency landing due to a landing gear problem.
The plane landed uneventfully. No injuries were reported.

Why: Fifteen minutes after takeoff, the pilot reported a problem in the right engine, and made an emergency landing at LaGuardia. Debris found in Queens may have been from the plane. Birds were not the problem. Pieces of the shattered blades of the Pratt & Whitney turbofan were found embedded in the fuselage.

Jetblue flight B6-1468 had to divert and make an emergency landing at L.F. Wade International Airport, Bermuda, on March 10th.

OpenSkies flight EC-8001 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Shannon airport, Ireland, on August 19th.
The Boeing 757-200 plane heading from Paris Orly Airport, France, to Newark, New Jersey, was diverted due to a gear well fire indication.
