Frontier Airlines flight F9-1397 made an emergency landing in Tampa, Florida, on January 1st.
The Airbus A321-200 plane was flying from Cleveland, Ohio, when six passengers became sick, prompting the crew to request emergency assistance in Tampa.
The plane landed safely. Medical teams provided assistance to the sick passengers.
LATAM Airlines flight JJ-3264 had to reject take off from Sao Paulo, Brazil, on February 22nd.
The Airbus A320-200 plane was accelerating to take off for Belo Horizonte, Brazil, when the crew rejected take off reporting an engine fire indication.
The plane was towed to the apron. All 131 passengers and 6 crew members remained uninjured.

The Cessna 172 plane was carrying an instructor pilot and his student when it went down and caught fire.
Both occupants of the plane were killed in the crash. They were identified as Sydney Miti, 31, of Waltham, and Julian Lattermann, 18, of Dover.

Why: On landing in Atlanta, the right main gear tire blew and started a fire. The runway was vacated and the passengers disembarked via emergency slides.
Emergency services responded to contain the fire. Foam was employed.
A small plane crashed at Naval Air Station Kingsville, Texas, on April 25th.
The civilian-owned plane crashed shortly after taking off from the base.
There were two people aboard, including the pilot and a passenger. Both were killed in the crash. It is believed that they had come to visit an employee of the base.

Why: Pilot reported a hydraulic problem at 6:30 am and landed safely at 7. Passengers were taken off the plane and transported by bus to the concourse.
