A local farmer in Grovesend, Swansea was forced to make emergency landing at his own airstrip, after his plane hit a flock of birds.
According to the South Wales Police, the light plane registration G-BKCX, owned and flown by the farmer flipped over during crash landing on Sunday, March 17, 2014. He managed to escape with minor injuries including a mild concussion. He was later given medical aid at the Morriston Hospital, Swansea.
Two fire trucks, West and Mid Wales Fire and Rescue Services responded to the scene.
