Why: After take-off, one of the engines quit.
The pilot was in the air less than twelve minutes, and returned to Lagos to make a asafe landing at the airport. The problem was corrected as not an engine failure but an apu failure.
Repairs were made to the plane which is now apparently operational.
United Airlines flight 936 had to made an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, on August 16.
The flight, heading from Washington Dulles International Airport to Zurich, Switzerland, was diverted as a precaution after 4 crew members reported breathing problems.
The plane landed safely and was thoroughly inspected. Authorities said the sick flight attendants did not need medical attention after landing.
The passengers were accommodated in other flights.

What: TRIP Linhas Aereas Aerospatiale ATR-72-500 en route from Curitiba to Cascavel Brazil
Where: Cascavel
When: Jan 10th 2010

Why: Near Cascavel the left engine caught fire. The engine was shut down and the fire suppression system activated and put it out. However, Cascavel was closed due to low visibility, and the flight diverted to Iguassu Falls. Cascavel travelers were bussed from Iguassu Falls.
Dourados and Campo Grande passengers were provided connecting flights.
All Nippon Airways flight NH-273 had to return and make an emergency landing in Tokyo, Japan, on January 26th.
The Boeing 777-300 plane took off for Fukuoka, Japan, but had to turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.
The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.
Indonesia AirAsia flight QZ-535 had to make an emergency landing in Perth, Australia, on October 15th.
The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Denpasar, Indonesia, but had to turn back due to loss of cabin pressure.
The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained uninjured.
