An Air Arabia flight made an emergency landing at Coimbatore International Airport in Tamil Nadu, India, on October 9.Authorities said the plane, en-route from Sharjah, UAE to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, was diverted due to bad weather conditions in Thiruvananthapuram.

Why: After passengers had boarded but before they took off, the left hand engine began smoking. Passengers disembarked and the flight was cancelled. Delta Airlines Flight Returns to Baltimore due to Engine Issue
Delta Airlines flight DL-2033 had to return and make an emergency landing in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 12th.The plane took off for Atlanta, Georgia, but had to turn back due to an engine issue.
The plane landed safely. All one hundred and forty-five people aboard remained unharmed.

Why: When landing flaps failed, the Airbus prepared for an emergency landing. Fortunately, though the plane landed too fast, there was no serious consequence to the flap failure. Reportedly the plane was repaired and returned to service hours later.George’s Point of View

United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Denver
United Airlines flight UA-1126 made an emergency landing in Denver, Colorado, on July 11th.The Boeing 737-800 plane took off for Anchorage, Alaska, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a bird strike.
The plane landed back safely. All one hundred and seventy-three people aboard remained unharmed.
