A young farmer was piloting the crop duster plane when it went down. The pilot sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene.
The cause of accident is still under investigation.

Why: On May 24, 2008, at 0920 Pacific daylight time, an Aerospatiale AS-350-D helicopter, N67GE, operated by Island Express Helicopters, Inc., impacted terrain while landing at Two Harbors, Avalon, located on Santa Catalina Island, California, during a 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 135 on-demand, commercial flight. The flight departed from the Queensway Bay Heliport, Long Beach, California, at 0907. The commercial pilot, a company employee, and one passenger were killed, and three passengers were seriously injured. The helicopter was destroyed by impact damage and fire
Chicago-based law firm, Corboy & Demetrio, has filed a negligence lawsuit on behalf of Raymond Rolinskas, 84 and his wife Roberta Rolinskas, 82, whose house was destroyed by a small plane crash on November 18.
The small Aero Commander 500 aircraft, registered to Fairway-based Central Airlines, crashed into the elderly couple’s house immediately after departing from Midway International Airport, Chicago. The pilot of the plane, 47-year-old Eric Howlett, lost his life in the crash, while Raymond and his wife remained uninjured.
According to Matthew Jenkins of Corboy & Demetrio, “While thankfully Roberta and Raymond did not suffer any physical harm, the emotional trauma has been devastating to them…Hearing, seeing and feeling an airplane crashing just inches away from them has caused severe emotional distress.”
The lawsuit, filed in Cook County Circuit Court on November 25, lists Central Airlines, Inc. as the defendant.

A Embraer 810D Seneca III plane en route from Ouro Fino to Gurupi was supposed to stop in Caldas Novas to refuel on Sept 20, but it crashed near Nelson Ribeiro Guimaraes airport. Five people——three men and two women——were killed in the crash at about 10:45 a.m. in a semi-urban area.
The plane may have been on approach as its landing gear were down. There was no fire, explosion or leaked fuel at the accident site.
It is expected that the missed fuel stop resulted in the plane crashing due to being out of gas. The forest where the plane fell was about 600 meters from the runway at Nelson Ribeiro Guimarães Airport. The victims were identified as John Constantini, 81, owner and pilot of the plane, Marcia Maria da Silva, 51, Vilmar Alves Passion, 40, Isolina Tumioto, 63, and John the Baptist Constantini, 51. Their remains were taken to Forensic Medical Institute.
The Center for Research and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Cenipa) is investigating.
A small plane crash landed on a private property near Gifford Ranch Road, south of Highway 166 in San Luis Obispo County, California, on January 16.
The authorities said the pilot reported engine troubles and informed San Luis Obispo Airport authorities that he would try to make an emergency landing at Highway 166. However, the communication was then disrupted and the plane was found in an upside down position in a riverbed near the highway.
There were 2 people aboard the plane at the time of incident; both of them remained uninjured. They were identified as the pilot John Charles Butler, 76, of Phoenix, Arizona and his passenger Pamela Butler Zirion, 67, of San Luis Obispo.
The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.
What: REX flight ZL114 en route from Merimbula to Moruya to Sydney

Why: First the flight was delayed.
Then it made a scheduled landing in Moruya; but ten minutes after it took off, the pilot saw the engine overheating, and had to return to Moruya.
Alarmed passengers felt a jolt when an engine was shut down. They didn’t know the alarm indicated one engine was on fire but some noticed that one propeller was down.
Passengers were relieved by the safe landing in Moruya with emergency services from Moruya, Broulee, and NSW Fire and Rescue standing by.
Interviews of the passengers indicate a range of emotions-passengers who were calm because flight crew was calm, alarmed because the flight crew looked worried, alarmed by the engine failure and inactive propellor, but everyone was relieved to be on the ground.
Some of the stranded passengers continued to their destination on the alternative flight provided by Rex, which left at 11:20 a.m. their lives made more difficult after missing connecting flights; at least one decided to return home.
Maintenance discovered no engine fire, but said that a faulty sensor might have been waterlogged. Rex engineers were scheduled to fly in to check out the plane.
VietJet flight VJ-356 lost both nose wheels on landing at Buon Ma Thuot Airport, Vietnam, on November 29th.
The incident happened when the plane was coming from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
The plane was evacuated via emergency slides. Six passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospitals.
