Who: The identities of the two on board fatalities have not been released
Why: Pilot reported power loss at 11:41 a.m. The plane lost power shortly after take-off, banked to the left and clipped the top of an empty before crashing.
On Feb 25, 2013, in Puella, Puerto Varas Chile, a Cessna 152 struck a fence and crashed. Three aboard survived.
The plane was taking off from a ski slope,but did not sustain adequate altitude, and struck a fence.
The pilot was Alfonso Ruiz Tagle.
Carabineros de la Tenencia Casa Pangue was apparently not notified and responded to the scene in the afternoon. The accident is under investigation.

What: Nazca Airlines Cessna U206F tourist flight en route from/to Nazca Airport
Where: El Mirador in the coastal Nazca Desert, Peru
When: Feb 25 2010
Who: Four Peruvians, one of whom was a boy, and one who was the pilot, and three Chileans.
Why: While on a tourist flight to view ancient geoglyphs known as the Nazca Lines, the plane crashed. The wreckage is about 150 yards (meters) from a figure known as “the spider”. Around 11:00 a.m. with seven people on board, the flight crashed. There were three Chilean tourists, a Peruvian couple with a 5-year-old daughter, and the Peruvian pilot.
Nazca Airlines (AeroIca) announced they blame the crash on wind shear.
The 7 who were killed were on a plane with a capacity of 6.
In November 2008, the same plane was involved in an emergency landing near kilómetro 424 de la carretera Panamericana Sur (South Pan-American highway). At that time, the problems was ascribed to engine trouble.
The Peruvian passengers were identified as Sameli Chavarry, Erika del Pilar Zúñiga, John Rojas Rodríguez and Dayesca Rojas Zuñira; the Chileans were Matías Poblete, Gabriela Ortega Poblete and Alejandra Cienfuegos.
On Feb 27, 2013, a privately owned Cessna 150 was near Deming New Mexico when it crashed.
Before ATC lost contact with him, the last message they received from pilot Carl Link was a distress call saying he was losing his vision.
Someone in the area heard the plane fly but did not hear it crash.
The plane impacted near State Road 26 and ended up wheels up a quarter mile from the dirt road.
The pilot died at the scene.
What: Privately owned Cessna 401 en route from Riverside Kansas to Council Bluffs Kansas
Where: Thomas Road between 1900 & 2000 or 9 miles west of Chanute, KS
When: May 11, 2012 16:36
Who: 5 aboard, 3 fatalities
Why: The privately owned Cessna was en route to Council Bluffs when it told ATC it requested permission to descend to a lower altitude, then crashed near Chanute and caught on fire. The plane skidding 200 feet across a field before it hit trees.
23-year-old pilot, Luke F. Sheets, Garret Coble of Tulsa and Stephen J. Luth, 22 died in the crash according to Shawnee County Coroner’s Office-Topeka.
22-year-old Hannah N. Luce of Texas and 27-year-old Austin G. Anderson were injured. Hannah was hospitalized at KU Medical Center-Kansas City, KS and Austin at Christi St. Francis Hospital-Wichita.
Chanute is about 90 miles northwest of Joplin, Mo.
The plane crashed in a field east of Highway 75. Two of the five aboard survived the crash.
A celebrated aviation expert and attorney, Albert M. Orgain IV, was killed after his single-engine Cessna 182 went down in a field, around 5 miles southwest of the Halifax-Northampton Regional Airport in North Carolina, on June 27.
The aircraft took off from Sabot Airport, located west of Richmond, Virginia, and was destined for the Rocky Mount-Wilson Regional Airport. According to the FAA, the plane crashed after the pilot reported engine trouble at about 10 a.m. and diverted the plane to the Halifax-Northampton Regional Airport.
The plane was registered to Albert M. Orgain IV, who was an aviation expert, a Richmond-area attorney and a member of Sands Anderson law firm. Sands Anderson law firm confirmed that Orgain was flying the plane at the time of accident.
The FAA and NTSB is investigating the cause of crash.
