SEATTLE, Feb. 23, 2011 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] is pleased that Turkish Airlines has reinforced its trust in the Next-Generation 737 program by announcing its intention to exercise options for additional Boeing 737s. Boeing looks forward to finalizing the contractual details of Turkish Airlines’ selection.

Transavia flight HV-5753 made a hard landing at Marrakesh Menara Airport, Morocco, on October 10th.The Boeing 737-800 plane flying from Amsterdam, Netherlands, was on final approach to Marrakesh when the crew aborted the approach due to gusting winds.
The plane subsequently positioned for another approach but touched down hard.
No injuries were reported.

Delta Air Lines Flight Diverts to Norfolk International Airport
Delta Air Lines Flight 546 had to make an emergency landing at Norfolk International Airport, Virginia at 3:10 P.M. on July 5.The Boeing 737 was heading towards John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, from Dominican Republic, when the pilots received warning of a possible mechanical issue in one of the engines and decided to land as a precaution.
The plane landed uneventfully.
All 131 passengers and 6 crew members aboard remained safe and were accommodated in a replacement flight.
