United Airlines Flight 1564 had to return and make an emergency landing at Washington Dulles International Airport in Dulles, Virginia, on the night of November 17.
The Boeing 757 departed for San Francisco International Airport at around 6:30 p.m., but was forced to turn back due to a mechanical issue.
The plane, carrying 151 passengers and 6 crew members, landed uneventfully. No one was injured.
An airline official said, “Our maintenance team is currently inspecting the aircraft, and we will accommodate passengers to San Francisco later this evening.”
