    What: Air India Airbus A321-200 en route from Hyderabad to Mumbai
    Where: Hyderabad
    When: Aug 5th 2009
    Who: 120 passengers
    Why: After take-off, the APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) developed a problem. After returning to Hyderabad, maintenance dealt with the issue and within an hour the plane was back in the air. I’d like the registration on this one–we may be hearing from it again.

    Who: 146 aboard
    Why: On landing, a tire blew out.

    Cabin Pressure Endangers Donavia Passengers over Russia

    What: Donavia Boeing 737-400 en route from Rostov to Moscow Vnukovo
    Where: Rostov
    When: Jan 23rd 2012 2:00 pm
    Who: 70 passengers, 8 crew
    Why: After takeoff, the flight developed pressure problems. An alarm went off on board; the crew had to return to Rostov where they made a safe landing.

    Some passengers passed out and others experienced bloody noses and ears from the pressure.

    The oxygen masks were not working, although they were released.
    The cause of the pressure issues has not been determined and the details have not been made public.

    The flight made a safe landing at Rostov on Don at 3:15 p.m. A replacement jet was provided for the passengers.

    1 Killed, 1 Injured as Small Plane Crashes at North Little Rock Municipal Airport

    A small plane crashed at North Little Rock Municipal Airport, Arkansas, on May 5th.

    Authorities said the Cessna 310 aircraft went down while the pilot was trying to return to the airport due to a mechanical issue.

    The pilot Daniel Shure, 30, was injured while his only passenger was killed. The deceased was identified as Doyle G. Reynolds, 56, of Jefferson, Arkansas.

    The accident is being investigated.

    Piper PA-28 Crash Landed at Buffalo Niagara International Airport

    PiperA fixed wing, single-engine Piper PA-28 aircraft crash-landed on its belly in the parking lot of Buffalo Niagara International Airport, Cheektowaga, New York, at around 3 p.m. on August 14.

    The incident happened shortly after the plane took off for a tourist flight with 3 people aboard, including a pilot and 2 tourists. According to NFTA spokesman C. Douglas Hartmayer, the plane apparently lost power due to which it crash landed. “The full investigation that will be conducted by the FAA will determine the actual cause, but the preliminary cause is being given as a loss of power,” he said.

    The pilot, identified as Anastasiia Goldowsky, 31, sustained minor injuries, and was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment. She was released after treatment by evening.

    Both the tourists remained unhurt. They were identified as Bing Shen, 39, and his 6-year-old son, Qiain.

    The plane is registered to Prior Aviation, according to Federal Aviation Administration records.

    5 People, Dog Killed as Piper PA 46 Crashed in Colorado

    PiperA single-engine Piper PA 46 crashed a few hundred yards northwest of the runway of Erie Municipal Airport, Weld County, Colorado, at around 11:40 a.m. on August 31.

    The accident happened when the six-seater plane, which took off from Centennial Airport, was attempting to land Erie Municipal Airport.

    The plane was carrying 5 people and a dog at the time of accident; Erie authorities confirmed that all of them were killed.

    The FAA and the NTSB are jointly investigating the reasons of crash.
